Introducing Generational Shift USA’s Junior Software Engineer Program: Upgrades and Updates

Generational Shift USA is excited to announce highly anticipated changes to its ten-week Junior Java Developer Program. Previously focusing on equipping students with Java programming skills, our program has been upgraded to a six-month Junior Software Engineer Program to provide participants with more comprehensive training to launch their careers successfully in the tech industry.

Like our previous initiative, the program emphasizes hands-on learning and mentorship to ensure participants receive the best possible training experience with an experienced instructor available to guide them and provide individual feedback and support throughout the program. The Junior Software Engineer Program continues to build on the foundations of computer programming, computer science fundamentals, and modern software development best practices. However, as part of this update, we have expanded the curriculum to include front-end development training, further allowing participants to gain practical experience building applications that address real-world problems.

With this new program, Generational Shift continues to create pathways for people to feel empowered to pursue and enter the tech industry. By providing a more robust curriculum, we aim to prepare participants for their first software engineering roles in an industry that continues to grow and evolve. The new Junior Software Engineer Program is just one of the many exciting changes we have in store for Generational Shift USA over the next few months. We hope these changes will enable us to help even more people succeed in the tech industry, and we look forward to sharing more news soon.
